Educational tool, not advice
GoCheckMyMortgage provides general educational information and estimates about private mortgage insurance (PMI) and FHA mortgage insurance (MIP). We are not a lender, mortgage broker, or financial, legal, or tax advisor, and nothing here is advice for your specific situation. Decisions about your mortgage are yours to make, ideally with your servicer and a qualified professional.
Estimates are estimates
- Home-value figures are automated estimates. Your servicer will use its own appraisal or broker price opinion (BPO) as the official number, which may differ.
- Savings, timelines, and eligibility are estimated and use general federal (Homeowners Protection Act) and GSE frameworks. Rules vary by servicer and by who owns your loan (Fannie/Freddie vs portfolio.)
- We do not guarantee that PMI/MIP will be cancelled, that you'll qualify, or that any rate or saving will be available. Cancellation generally requires being current on payments with a good payment history.
