Privacy

The short version: no account, no email, no lead capture, and we never store your address. The tool is designed so there's almost nothing about you to collect in the first place.

What we don't do

Your address and the value estimate

When you click "Get my property estimate," your address is sent once to our family's shared value-lookup service (hosted by our sister site, GoCheckMyHome) to fetch an estimate, then discarded. It is never written to our logs. Your loan numbers are not sent with it.

To avoid repeating the same paid lookup, we store an anonymous fingerprint of looked-up addresses (a one-way hash), never the address itself. The fingerprint can't be turned back into your address. If you'd rather skip the lookup entirely, type a value from Zillow or Redfin instead; the verdict is identical either way.

Where the math happens

Your loan numbers (balance, original value, loan type, PMI) are used to compute your verdict in your own browser. They are not transmitted to us or stored anywhere.

Analytics

We use privacy-respecting, aggregate analytics to understand which verdicts and pages are useful (for example, how often the checker is run). These measure events, not identities, and are never tied to your address or loan details.

Affiliate links

Some outbound "compare options" links are affiliate links; see our Disclosure. Following one takes you to a partner's own site, governed by that partner's privacy policy.

This tool is educational and is not a lender, broker, or financial advisor. Nothing here is financial advice. Questions? See About.
